The curated kitchen: new cookbook “The Vibrant Table” and recipe

What I especially like about The Vibrant Table: Recipes from My Always Vegetarian, Mostly Vegan, and Sometimes Raw Kitchen is the quantity of information. Take the section on thickeners, for example. It provides a short, clear, helpful introduction to Irish moss and even provides an alternative if seaweed is not to your liking. But we mustn’t forget the recipes, of which there are plenty. Coconut black rice with grilled peaches. Strawberry soba salad. Apple anise soup. Squash blossom quiche. A nice book for someone who likes to cook and is looking to take their vegetarian cooking up a notch, I’ve included one of Anya Kassoff’s recipe for you to try after the jump.
